Bio
My philosophy.
I am interested in nature, relationships, contrast, and the space that exists between them. My work speaks to a variety of texture, color, and context, bleeding worlds and philosophies into each other. I am fascinated by anatomy, energy, movement, and spiritualty. I find that art is a sacred realm in which to connect with yourself on a deeper level. It is investigative and introspective.
My quest for creative expression has always required a tactile, multisensory approach, reaching with different arms of thought and exploration. I find words developing into things; a poem, song, lyrics, or text happening within an artwork. A mixed-media approach allows for a variety of ways in which to say things and spread emotions onto a canvas or said surface. Recently, I have been particularly interested exploring the idea of “process” and its relevancy to art-making and thought principles through photography and documentary film. Art is always growing, evolving, morphing, stretching, editing and overlapping.
It is always becoming. And yet, it always is.
